FFA Contests

World Dairy Expo welcomes FFA members from across the country as it proudly provides educational opportunities and activities specifically for students in conjunction with the FFA Contests. The 2026 FFA Contests were held Tuesday, September 29.

FFA Contests

The FFA Contests are held annually during World Dairy Expo and include four dairy-focused events: Dairy Cattle Judging, Dairy Products Judging, Showmanship and the World Forage Management Cup. These contests challenge students' knowledge of dairy cattle evaluation, dairy products, animal presentation and forage mangement while offering a competitive, hands-on learning experience.

Eligibility

  • Each team will consist of four members, and only one team application per chapter will be accepted for each contest.
  • Eligible contestants in the Dairy Cattle Judging, Dairy Products and Showmanship Contests must be FFA members currently in their freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year in a U.S. high school.  International students must be enrolled in agricultural education classes.
  • Participants in the Forage Management Cup, must be enrolled with Agricultural youth groups, including FFA, 4-H, or similar organizations with members in grades 7 to 12.

Admission Tickets

All admission ticket orders must be submitted via the new online ticket purchasing platform. A link to purchase, and a discount code for reduced rate admission tickets is included in your FFA Contest registration confirmation email and/or has been shared via our latest FFA newsletter. 2026 FFA Contest Information

The 2026 FFA Contests were held on Tuesday, September 29, during World Dairy Expo.  Knowing important dates can help participants prepare for the upcoming World Dairy Expo. Review the Contest Brochure and check back for 2027 dates and registration information.
