Perfect Sundays - Introducing a New TV Series about a Family Dairy
Hosted by: Perfect Sundays LLC
Perfect Sundays is a six-episode limited tv series that captures the journey of a family that digs its way out of economic ruin and emotional paralysis. The story is familiar to farmers, no doubt, but also to anyone who recognizes the internal battles of depression and its devastating effects on a family. Set in the heart of rural America, this series makes universal the story of one farm family who knows they must keep trying despite it all. Now, they just have to agree on how. Join Samuel Goldberg, series creator and producer of Perfect Sundays, for a special screening of Episode 1 and discuss the role and impact of storytelling in modern agriculture.
Sam Goldberg is a film, television, theatre and live events producer committed to telling meaningful agricultural stories. His work includes several award-winning documentaries, such as The Last Survivor, Web and Silo: Edge of the Real World, the precursor to SILO, the first feature film about grain entrapment. His latest farm-focused project, Perfect Sundays, is a six-part limited television series about a dairy farm on the brink, highlighting farm legacy and resilience. Goldberg frequently speaks at events and teaches as a guest instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Stonestreet Studios and the University of Pennsylvania. After spending most of his life and creative career in New York City, he now lives on an old farm in rural Pennsylvania with his wife and creative partner, Rupa Mehta, and their two children.

Showbox Stories: Live from The Tanbark
Hosted by: CowManager
For the past several years, the Showbox Stories Series — sponsored by CowManager, produced by the Uplevel Dairy Podcast, and co-hosted by Peggy Coffeen and Tim Abbott of Showbox Sires — has captured some of the dairy industry’s most iconic voices for authentic, unscripted interviews during World Dairy Expo.
These highly engaging conversations will make their way to center stage on The Tanbark, transforming Showbox Stories into a dynamic live “morning show” experience designed to energize the Expo audience. Featuring a curated lineup of high-profile guests, engaging conversations with industry leaders, and the chemistry and storytelling that audiences have come to expect from Tim and Peggy, the series creates an atmosphere that is informative, entertaining, and impossible to walk past.
Tim Abbott is a World Dairy Expo Board of Director at-large representative, offering extensive experience across dairy genetics, marketing and sales. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Abbott’s career spans roles including field representative for the American Jersey Cattle Association, General Manager of Jersey Marketing Service, Director of Field Services for AJCA, sire analyst for ABS Global, and leadership roles with ABS Canada and St. Jacobs ABC. Today, Abbott is co-owner of Showbox Sires LLC, The Dairy Sales Alliance and Borderview Genetics, in addition to owning Deep Canyon Guest Ranch in Montana. His broad perspective across multiple sectors of the dairy industry brings valuable insight to the board. Abbott and his wife, Sharyn, have two daughters.
Peggy Coffeen has dedicated the past 15 years to sitting across the table with dairy farmers around the country, asking questions, telling their stories and connecting them to resources. She grew up milking cows in a tie-stall barn on her family farm in southern Wisconsin before pursuing a degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in agriculture journalism and a career in writing and communications. She served as the dairy and livestock editor for the Agri-View newspaper, then editor and podcast host for Progressive Dairy before launching the Uplevel Dairy Podcast in 2022. Peggy and her husband Kevin have four children and raise a few registered Holsteins and Red & Whites near De Pere, Wisconsin.

U.S. Dairy on the World Stage: Growing Markets and Opportunity
Hosted by: Dairy Girl Network and National Young Cooperators Program
Join the Dairy Girl Network and the National Young Cooperators Program for this year’s Tanbark Talk, where industry leaders will examine how growing international demand is shaping U.S. dairy. The discussion will explore strategies for expanding global markets, developing products that meet the needs of international consumers and navigating the opportunities and challenges of competing on a global stage. Experts will also share perspectives on how export growth influences domestic milk prices and supports the long-term profitability of U.S. dairy farms. In recognition of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, this year’s event will also spotlight the vital contributions of women throughout the dairy supply chain in the United States and around the world.
