Beth’s Breathtaking Win in the International Red & White Show
MADISON, WIS. – Ms Ransom-Rail Beth-Red was named Grand Champion Female and Senior Champion Female of the International Red & White Show, Thursday, October 6, and took home the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy and the $1,000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Beth, the winner of the Four-Year-Old Cow Class, was exhibited by Milk Source, Ransom-Rail and Fischer of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The Reserve Grand Champion Female and Reserve Senior Champion Female, Anita Absolute Joline-Red, was first place in the 125,000 Lb. Production Cow Class and was exhibited by Milk Source and L. Fischer of Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
Intermediate Champion Female was awarded to the winning Senior Two-Year-Old Cow, Lookout Burning It Up-Red, exhibited by Lookout, Elitehaven of Canton De Hatley, Québec, Canada. Milksource Tantrum-Red-ET topped the Senior Three-Year-Old Cow Class and was crowned the Reserve Intermediate Champion Female for exhibitor Milk Source of Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
North Effect Wa Tatas-Red topped the Summer Yearling Heifer Class and was named Junior Champion Female. Tatas is owned by Chris & Jen Hill and Tim & Sharyn Abbott of Thurmont, Maryland. They were awarded the $500 Junior Champion Cash Award presented by Cargill Animal Nutrition. Holzer Warrior Princess, Reserve Junior Champion Female and the winning Spring Yearling Heifer was exhibited by Westcoast Holsteins of Chilliwack, British Colombia, Canada.
Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor of the Heifer Show were awarded to Owen & Kendyll Kress, Kress-Hill Dairy of Newton, Wisconsin. Premier Breeder was awarded to Milk Source of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Oakfield Corners Dairy of Oakfield, New York was awarded Premier Exhibitor. Premier Sire of the Heifer Show and Premier Sire was Mr Blondin Warrior-Red.
Placing a total of 372 animals in the International Red & White Show were official judge Pat Lundy of Granville, New York, and associate judge Gary Jones of Gorey, County Wexford, Ireland.
