Carvella Cakewalks to Grand in International Junior Ayrshire Show
MADISON, WIS. – The first and second place Lifetime Component Merit Cows stood triumphant on the colored shaving in the International Junior Ayrshire Show at World Dairy Expo. Bricker Farms Gibbs Carvella stood at the top, receiving the titles of Grand Champion Female and Senior Champion Female. She is owned by T, L, A, K & L Bricker and C Binckley of Salem, Ohio, and took home the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award and the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award. The second-place Lifetime Component Merit Cow, Toppglen Wishful Thinking-ET, followed as the Reserve Grand Champion Female and Reserve Senior Champion Female. Wishful Thinking was shown by Tanner, Brennan, Marissa and Logan Topp of West Salem, Ohio and received the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Reserve Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award.
Old-Bankston JC Baymont was named the Intermediate Champion Female and placed first in the Summer Junior Two-Year-Old Cow Class for the International Junior Ayrshire Show. Baymont is leased by Tyler Arnold and owned by C Wolf and C, C, & C Cannon of Guttenberg, Iowa. Reserve Intermediate Champion honors went to the Junior Three-Year-Old, Arthuracres Handsome Annalise, exhibited by Matthew Thompson & Cooper Wolf of Gutenberg, Iowa.
Grand-View Tuxedo Devyn-ET was the winning junior in the Fall Heifer Calf Class before taking home the honor of Junior Champion Female of the Junior Show. Devyn is exhibited by J, L & M Harbaugh and Tim Busch of Marion, Wisconsin. Reserve Junior Champion Female was the winning Winter Yearling Heifer, On Topp Willy Nilly, exhibited by Keaton & Kinley Topp, Botkins, Ohio.
Official judge Chad Ryan of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and associate Mandi Bue of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, placed a total of 113 animals in the International Junior Ayrshire Show.
