Senior Champions Claim Top Honors in 2022 International Junior Guernsey Show
MADISON, WIS. – During the 2022 International Junior Guernsey Show, the winning junior in the Five-Year-Old Cow Class, Hi Guern View Asias Africa was awarded Grand Champion Female of the Junior Show and Senior Champion Female of the Junior Show. Africa was exhibited by Alaina Dinderman of Orangeville, Illinois, who received the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award, the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award. Valley Gem Hit It Devora, the winning junior in the Four-Year-Old Cow Class, was named Reserve Grand Champion Female of the Junior Show and Reserve Senior Champion Female of the Junior Show. Devora, exhibited by Hannah Hurst, Brynn Grewe and Kyle Polk of Waynesville, Ohio, received the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Reserve Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award in recognition of her new title.
Intermediate Champion Female of the Junior Show was Dix Lee Kojack Dont Doubt Me-ETV, the first-place Senior Three-Year-Old Cow. Dont Doubt Me was exhibited by Haley Beukema, Lauryn Weisensel and Brynn Grewe of New Richmond, Wisconsin. Reserve Intermediate Champion Female of the Junior Show was Warwick Manor Fireman Scotch, shown by Karli and Kolby Stoltzfus of East Earl, Pennsylvania. Scotch was the winning junior in the Junior Three-Year-Old Cow Class.
Rounding out the champion group was Prairie Gem Midnight Storm-ETV, owned by Dylan and Cameron Ryan of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, earning Junior Champion Female of the Junior Show after winning the Fall Heifer Calf class. Following her as Reserve Junior Champion Female of the Junior Show and first-place Winter Heifer Calf was TwinCounty Tappys Trifecta-ETV, shown by Landree Fraley of Muncy, Pennsylvania.
Official judge Phillip Topp of Botkins, Ohio and associate judge Tim Abbott of Enosburg, Vermont placed a total of 70 animals in the International Junior Guernsey Show.
