Spend Your Evenings at Expo
MADISON, WIS. – Enhance your World Dairy Expo experience this year by taking advantage of evening events in addition to the Dairy Cattle Show, Trade Show and educational programs. From Happy Hours and a free concert to receptions honoring those involved in the dairy industry, there is something for everyone. Expo attendees looking for music and entertainment throughout the week of World Dairy Expo can find it in The Tanbark during Happy Hour. Hosted from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. by sponsors World Dairy Expo on Monday and Tuesday, Danone North America on Wednesday, and Phibro Animal Health Corp. on Thursday, Happy Hour in The Tanbark is complete with live music, free snacks and complementary beer, while supplies last.
Also happening in The Tanbark, the Sunset Celebration returns on Thursday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. This free concert features The Jimmys, an award-winning R&B band from the Madison area. The Jimmys have a unique connection to Expo, as band leader, singer, songwriter and keyboardist, Jimmy Voegeli, is the son of one of Expo’s founders, Howard Voegeli.
In addition to events in The Tanbark, there are a number of receptions and banquets happening throughout Expo honoring distinguished members of the dairy industry. National Dairy Shrine will be hosting its annual awards reception and banquet on Monday, October 3 at 4:30 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall. Tickets are required to attend and can be purchased on National Dairy Shrine’s website, www.dairyshrine.org. On Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m., Expo will be honoring this year’s Recognition Award Winners at the Recognition Awards Banquet in The Tanbark. Tickets are required to attend and can be purchased at worlddairyexpo.com before October 2.
